Edith Ann Powell Neeley

January 9, 1994 — March 14, 2014

Edith Ann Powell Neeley, age 20, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly, on Friday, March 14, 2014 at her residence. Edith Ann was a graduate from Sullivan South High School and was a member of the Air Force Junior Reserves Officer Training Core. She was a wonderful daughter and a loving and proud mother of two beautiful children that were her life. She was of the Baptist faith. She was the worlds greatest sister and a best friend with her whole heart. She was a very passionate young woman. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Carl Bernard, great grandparents, Edith and James Huffman and Pearl Bernard. She was also preceeded in deat by John Stevens, Betty Ruth Dockery, Paralee Bernard, Grace and Clara Linebaugh, Missy and Christopher Gibbons, Mammie and Pappie Short, William Beasley, Sr., Wayne Hughes and Carolyn Oaks Short. Surviving are her two beautiful children Nevaeh and Xavier Neeley, mother Karen Powell, stepfather George Wesley Stevens, sisters Elizabeth Bernard Bush and husband Davy Bush, Gaile Powell and boyfriend Austin Bishop, Madison Powell, and one brother, Daniel Powell; grandparents Joyce and Stevie Strong and Jimmie Elizabeth Stevens, nephews Dawson Bush and soon to be Denver Bush, aunts and uncles Rebecca Mallett and husband Randall, David (Uncle Day) Bernard and girlfriend Katrina Everhart, Darlene Bernard and boyfriend Randy Montague; Heather Huffman; and Jonnita Pierce; cousins, Samantha McClellan and husband D.J.; Lacy Elliott and husband Rayn; Starr Beasley; Dustin Hughes, Seth Beasley; Corley Webb, Jayden and Sean Huffman; Spenser and John Michael Pierce; Justin, Eddie, and Jonathan Fink; second cousins, Jordan and Aiden McClellan; Hayden Elliott; Megan and Blake Huffman, and many more. Special relatives and friends, all the Huffman family, all the Bernard and Lindbaugh family, all the Surlock family, Verlin, Jayne, Ross Bernard, Eddie Worley and family, Eric and Mildred Wright and family, Kim Fulty and family and many more. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-7pm with the Sullivan South ROTC serving as Honor Guard at Trinity Memorial. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 7:00pm with preachers Ryan Elliott, Mike Owens, and Harold Morelock officiating at Trinity Memorial. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Friday in the Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Noah and Blake Huffman, Randall Mallett, David Bush, Randy Montague, Eddie Fink, and Dustin Hughes, and Jonathan Fink. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home, Charity Chapel Baptist Church, Conerstone Fellowship of Fall Branch, Seek Out The Old Path Baptist Church and Gene Yorkie Excavating Services.
