Eddie Eugene Carr, 55, entered heaven's gates on Sunday , February 11th, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Eddie was born on March 30th, 1962 to the late Ralph & Orba (Cade) Carr. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Carr. Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Joy (Ellis) Carr; his sons, Brian (Lynsey) Carr of Talbot TN & Adam Carr of Sale Creek TN; his sisters, Darlene & Lisa Carr; his brother, Wayne (Tammie) Carr, all of Kingsport TN; his grandchildren, Ethan & Emmi Carr, Talbot TN; his "adopted sons" Joshua Carr & Dustin Lewis; & several nieces & nephews. Eddie was a devoted born again Christian & witness for Christ. He was a graduate of TCCS. He loved his family, motorcycle riding, fishing, & swamp gators. Eddie attended & was a member of Lake Drive Baptist Church, Sale Creek. He worked as a corporate investigator for 29 years. He also served as an Auxiliary Officer with Sullivan County Sheriff's Dept; an officer of Gray Rescue Squad; Vice President of Freedom Tribe Motorcycle Ministry; & was a volunteer coach for several sports in Rogersville TN, Hampton VA, Allentown PA, & Sale Creek TN. Eddie was founder & administrator of Facebook's "Remembering Fallen/Injured Law Enforcement Officers" & "Remembering First Responders". A memorial service will be held at Lake Drive Baptist Church, 16221 May Drive, Sale Creek TN on Friday, February 16th, 2018 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held at River of Life Baptist Church, 819 Austin Springs Rd, Piney Flats TN, on Saturday, February 17th, 2018, from 12-2 PM, followed by a service officiated by Bud Hulsey, & then graveside in Carr Family Cemetery, Watauga Flats, TN. Pallbearers will be family. In lieu of flowers Eddie request donations be made to Trinity Memorial Funeral Home, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport TN 37660 to help cover funeral costs.
