Dr. Patrick Lee Basinger Iii

Dr. Patrick (Pat) Lee Basinger III, DDS, age 85, of Kingsport, TN., was reunited in heaven with his true love, Mary Basinger on Friday, December 7th, 2018, at Holston Valley Medical. Pat was born in Clarksville, TN and moved to Kingsport where he spent most of his life. Pat was a graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School in 1951. Pat attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tn. He then went to University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN. to obtain his DDS degree and had his own private practice for over 45 years. Pat had his dental practice, P.L. Basinger, DDS. in Mt. Carmel before moving it to W. Carters Valley Road. Pat loved his wife very much. Pat also enjoyed golf, tennis, was an avid reader, and loved sports. He really enjoyed his key lime pie. Pat was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Basinger, Son, Patrick Lee Basinger IIII,, Parents, Patrick Lee Basinger II, and wife, Audrey Gray Basinger. Survivors include his Daughter, Lisa Goff and husband Kenny, of Kingsport, Tn.; Son, David Basinger, of Kingsport, TN.; Grandchildren, Michael, Lindsey, Sarah, Rachel, and Patrick; Great Grandchildren, Fletcher, Owen, Emma, and Miles; Sister, Sara Lou Ring and husband Bill, of Kingsport, TN. Morning graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Thursday December 13th at 11:00 AM. Memorial service will follow at First Broadstreet U.M.C. at 1:00 PM. Trinity Memorial Centers, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN. 37660 is honored to serve the Basinger family.
