Dorothy Mae Rector

Dorothy Mae Rector, 89, of Chuckey, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Born to Andrew and Nellie Tipton Rector in Sullivan County, Tennessee, Dorothy Mae moved to Greene County as a young girl, where she lived the rest of her life. Dorothy Mae loved flowers and enjoyed her garden and bird watching, especially the "red birds." Dorothy Mae was a beloved friend and neighbor. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Lovelace Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy Mae is also preceded in death by her aunts and uncles.

She will be warmly remembered by many.

A graveside committal will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery with Wesley Light officiating.

In memory of Dorothy Mae, donations may be made to the Lovelace Cemetery fund at Loveless Baptist Church.
