Donnie Lewis James

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Donnie Lewis James of Johnson City. Donnie went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday July 14th, 2024 at the age of 57.

Donnie was born in Newport Tn and grew up in the Tri-Cities area. He had a heart of gold and a great sense of humor and always had a smile on his face. He was a generous man and truly loved by many. Donnie was a die hard football fan and he loved the Dallas Cowboys. His biggest passion was music and his favorite band was AC/DC.

Donnie was proceeded in death by his parents O.L. James of Newport and Jenny Kalbfleisch of Johnson City and two brothers Jackie James and Danny James both of Johnson City.

He's survived by his oldest brother Dennis James of Johnson City and his sister Darlene Gates of Louisville Ky. Brother n law Robert Gates of Louisville Ky. Nephews Dustin James of Johnson City, Chance Gates Louisville Ky and Caleb and Alex Hughes of Johnson City. Niece's Misty James of Johnson City and Danielle Gates of Louisville Ky and several great nieces and nephew. Donnie will be missed by many. The family will have a private memorial service.
