Donna Lavonn Simpson

Donna Lavonn Simpson, 69, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025.

Born in Boise, Idaho, Donna dedicated over 30 years of her life as a beloved bartender at the Eagles on Stone Drive, where her warm smile and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Known for her love of watching CSI and her quick wit, Donna brought joy and laughter to those around her.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Author and Mary Peters; her brothers, Johnny Peters and Buster Peters; her sisters, Selena Williams, Peggy Haynes, and Jean Collins; and her niece, Brittany Hite.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Misty Holly; her cherished grandchildren, Lauren Castle and Kelsie Holly; and several adored great-grandchildren. Donna also leaves behind her sisters, Kim Burkey and Linda Price; her brothers, Dannie Barrett and Bill Peters; and her dear friends, Tracy Tester, Rene Webb, and David Bennett.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 21st, at 5:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home.
