DYE, Donald Keith, Sr.
August 20, 1955 - August 12, 2023

It is with profound sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Donald Keith Dye, Sr. of Kingsport, Tn, on August 12th, 2023, at the age of 67 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Margie, of 35 years; children: Donald Keith Dye, Jr. and Rachel Dye Adams; step-daughters: Alice Woods Sword and Emily Woods Davis; daughter-in-law: Elizabeth Dorsey Dye; sons-in-law: Nick Adams, Steven Sword, and Daniel Davis; grandchildren: Riley Eaton Dye, Izabella Dye, Dallas Dye, Caitlin Adams (Mason) Mounger, Alexandra Adams, Elliot Adams, Kabir Adams, Lucy Sword, Annalee Sword, Graham Davis, and Madeleine Davis; brother Barry (Sue) Dye and sister Susan (Rick) Dollar and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Shirley Dye.

Donny was born in Southwest Virginia. He was by trade a building contractor, and by calling a lover of Jesus Christ, God's Word, worship, and prayer, with the heart of an evangelist. His life was marked by gentleness, joy, and laughter. He enriched our lives in countless ways, including his love for music and singing. Donny also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He was a faithful member of Hosanna Fellowship Church of Johnson City, Tn.

A Receiving of Friends will be held on Sunday, August 20, from 1-3 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at Trinity Memorial Funeral Home, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, Tn, 37660. A reception will be held following the service for friends to continue sharing stories and loving memories of a life well lived.
A private burial will be held at the Holston Methodist Conference Cemetery at Emory and Henry College.
