Don Radford Ketron

May 16, 1941 — December 12, 2023

2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Don Ketron was more than a professional, an employee of a place of business or a regular worker. Among places blessed to have him work for them were the Kingsport Press, Berry Construction, and Hunt Assisted Living. If you knew Don, he was always working, talking, and enjoying the presence of others. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, uncle, neighbor, and lifelong member of the Bloomingdale community.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie R. Ketron, his mother Martha Alice Edwards Ketron, Three brothers Lyman, Alfred, Phil, and sister Shelby.
Don is survived by Linda Sue Wright Ketron, his loving wife of 62 years; one son, Allen Ketron of Blountville; daughters, Tammy Martin (Michael) of Kingsport and Lisa Price (Larry) of Kingsport; brother, LC Zeke Ketron and sister, Mary Hawkins; nine grandchildren, Jessica Roark, Rebekah Ricketts, Matthew Ketron, Jared Ketron, Dusty Price, Megan Hicks, Derek Price, Morgan Taylor, and Hunter Duty; twenty-nine great grandchildren; plus, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 5 PM to 7 PM on Friday, December 15th at Kingsport Community Church located at 2316 Memorial Boulevard Kingsport TN. A Celebration of life will start at 7 o'clock with Pastor Derek Price and Rev. Brian Ricketts officiating.
This obituary is lovingly written by the Ketron family. Trinity Memorial Centers (423-723-8177) is honored to serve them.
