Don Michael Barker

Don Michael Barker, 70, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Monday, July 23rd, 2018. Don was proud of his service to his country in the U.S. Marines. He worked at Eastman for over 40 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, crossword puzzles, and his family. He was a good provider, husband, and father. Don was very much loved and his memory will live in our hearts. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Barker and Kathleen Poorman; brother, Tom Barker. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Gaynelle Barker; daughters, Missy and husband Riley Smith, Kelly Russell; grandchildren, Cody, Caleb, Layla, Presley, and Bowen (Russell), Georgia, Max, and Charlie (Smith); sisters, Kathy Fields, Patty Sealy; brother, Tim Barker. A Life Celebration gathering for family and friends will be held on Thursday July 26th from 5pm to 7pm at Trinity's downtown life celebration facility (Model City Event Center, 201 E Center Street). Private military graveside service will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery with the American Legion Hammond Post 3/265 Honor Guard officiating.
