Dianah Waye

Dianah Margaret Waye, 72, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 8, 2020 at Greystone Healthcare Center, Blountville, TN, after a period of declining health. Born in Kingsport, TN, Dianah was the daughter of the late Lawrence Oscar Linkous and Mary Elizabeth Shupe Linkous. She was employed in the textile industry at Burlington Industries and later, the Seaman Corporation, both of Bristol, TN. Dianah was later employed in retail by J & M Wholesale, Bristol, VA. She loved watching cooking shows, ‘Court TV' shows, as well as crime-drama series. Dianah had a kind and giving heart and found pleasure in doing for others. Her most favorite past time was collecting recipes and sharing her love of cooking with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, DeWolfe Waye, Jr.; brother, Jerry W. Linkous; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dianah is survived by her son, Shannon Kern, Kingsport; brother and sister-in-law, Roger E. and Marsha J. Linkous, Bristol, TN; sister-in-law, Susan Linkous, Shelby, NC; niece and nephew, Gina Linkous Torrence and Steve Linkous, Georgia; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends as she journeyed along life's path. The family expresses their most sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Greystone Healthcare Center for their care of Dianah. A very, special thank you, to the Nursing and CNA staff on 2nd floor for their love and kindness shown to Dianah and the stories shared of their time with her. A special thank you to Ballad Health Hospice Nurses and Kim Bowman for their support once more in a time of need. It was Dianah's wish to be cremated; no services will be held.
