Diana Powell Vaughn

Diana Powell Vaughn, 59, of Kingsport, TN, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at her residence. Ms. Vaughn was born September 21, 1954 in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of Melba Woods Powell and the late Allie Marion Powell. Ms. Vaughn was a member of Goshen Valley Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her father, Ms. Vaughn is preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Vaughn, and several additional family members. Survivors of Diana Powell Vaughn include her daughters, Brandi (Vaughn) May (Kingsport, TN) and Stephanie Vaughn (Church Hill, TN); her mother, Melba Powell (Church Hill, TN); her sister, Debbie McConnell (Kingsport, TN); her brother, Chris Powell (Church Hill, TN); grandchildren, Josh May (Kingsport, TN) and Destiny Lowe (Church Hill, TN); nephews and niece, Sam McConnell, Tyler McConnell, and Lindsey Powell (all of Kingsport, TN); and former husband, Ronnie Vaughn (Surgoinsville, TN). The family of Diana Vaughn will have visitation from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Trinity Memorial Centers (1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660). A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the memorial center chapel Friends, family, and neighbors may also call any other time at the residence of Ms. Vaughn's mother, Melba Powell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Memorial Centers to help the family in covering expenses.
