Dennis Wayne Widener

Dennis Wayne Widener, age 57, of Bluff City, TN passed away suddenly on Friday April 26, 2024. He was born July 6 in Bristol TN to the late Bud and Jennie Widner and has lived in Bluff City for over 50 years. Dennis was a graduate of Sullivan Central High School, Class of 1984. He has worked at Northeast State Community College (NeSCC) for the last 20 plus years.

He was well known for his love of baseball with the Cincinnati Reds and Miami Dolphins football. He was a very kindhearted man who would help you if he could. A lot of the NeSCC friends said he would be greatly missed. He always had a twisted sense of humor, that only very few of us got to know and love about him. He will be greatly missed by not only his family but some close friends as well.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his dog "Doodle-Bug". The ones he left behind to cherish his loving memories include his Best Friend and loving devoted Wife of 38 years Susan Widener; his daughter, Meg Osborne, and husband Tom; his son, Corey Widener, and wife Jessica; and his grandchildren, Luk, Izzie, Braelynn, and Braxton Widener. Also his beloved dog KieKie Mae.

Per his wishes, he donated what he could of his organs and tissues and will be cremated with no services.

The family asks for privacy during this hard time and healing.
