Delmar Hugh Laughlin

Hugh "Wild Man" Laughlin, 73, of Kingsport, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center (Kingsport, TN). Delmar Hugh Laughlin was born May 16, 1941 in Sullivan County, TN. He was the son of the late Howle H. Laughlin and the late Neva June Kidd Laughlin. During his lifetime, Mr. Laughlin worked as a mechanic. He loved everything about cars and was a drag-racing enthusiast. In addition to his parents, Mr. Laughlin is preceded in death by a son, Dewayne Laughlin; a brother, Eddie Laughlin; and a son-in-law, Frank Kiser. Survivors of Hugh Laughlin include daughter, Kawana Kiser (Kingsport, TN); sons, Cliff Laughlin (Kingsport, TN), and Anthony Laughlin (Kingsport, TN); 5 grandchildren, Dylan Laughlin, Frankie Kiser, Ashley Kiser, Jessica Laughlin, and Chyanne Laughlin; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, additional family members, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Trinity Memorial Centers (1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN). A Life Celebration service, officiated by Rev. Johnny Gibson and Evangelist Larry McAmis, will be held at 8:00 p.m. in the memorial center's chapel. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Gardner's Chapel cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to service start time. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the doctors, nurses, and staff of 5th floor ICU at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
