Deborah Kaye Housewright

August 7, 1957 — May 17, 2024

Deborah "Debbie" White Charlton, 66, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 17, 2024.

Debbie is a survivor, she had made it through the murder of her husband in 1989, breast cancer in 2004, a stroke in 2016, and buried her oldest daughter, Christina Charlton Bradley in 2021. Despite the hardships she endured, Debbie still survived. She fought hard to remain in this world for her family. She used her love of music to guide her, support her emotionally, and bring joy to her family. She loved to sing and play her guitar. Debbie was employed for 32 years at Holston Valley Hospital, on Wilcox Hall W3 helping cancer survivors. She was a child of God whose fight has now ended.

She is preceded by her mother, Emily White; father, Walter White; husband, Doug Charlton; special brother in law, Danny Charlton; daughter, Christy Bradley; sisters, Penny White and Georgie White; and one special nephew, Mikey Hurd.

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Clarissa Lane and her partner Shawn Botkin; her grandchildren, Keylee Botkin, Noah Botkin, Cooper Lane, Cody Bradley, and Andrew Bradley; her great grandchild, Myles Carpenter; two sisters, Betty White and Cathy White; several nieces and nephews, Jessica Lawson(Brock), Dustin Bishop, Jason Duncan, Heather Duncan, Brooke Williams, Clint Page, Kimberly Kellogg, Ashley Kellogg, and Brandi Hurd.

The family will receive friends and family at Trinity Memorial Centers on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 from 5 PM until 7 PM. Services will follow at 7 PM conducted by Pastors Dennis Spears and Clint Page.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, any monetary donations be made to the college fund of Myles Carpenter, as she only got to share five short years with him.

A very special thanks to Orchard View (especially RN Linda) and Amedysis Hospice Group.

"Mom, I love you. I hope I continue to make you proud. Rejoice with our family and I will see you in heaven," -daughter Clarissa Lane.

Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the family.
