David Martin Haynes

June 12, 1936 — December 12, 2019

David M. Haynes, age 83, of Church Hill, Tn., passed away peacefully and went to be with The Lord on Thursday, December 12th, 2019. He was born in Kingsport and lived most of his life in this area. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Independent Baptist Church. He loved serving The Lord and singing for The Lord. He sang with the Pleasant Aires Quartet. He loved collecting antiques. He is preceded in death by his son, David Glen Haynes; his parents, Garland and Mollie Haynes; brothers, Tom Haynes, Fred Haynes, and E.G. Haynes; sisters, Reatha Christian and Judy Henry. Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Ruby Haynes; Daughters, Karen England, Vicki McConnell, Barbara Foulk and husband David (all of Kingsport, TN); Son, David L. Haynes and wife Cindi (Church Hill, TN); eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews. The family of David M. Haynes will receive friends on Monday, December 16th, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Trinity Memorial Centers. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 P.M. in our chapel with Pastor Billy Linkous and Evangelist Darrell Thacker officiating. Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 17th, 2019 at East Lawn Cemetery, with Military Rites given by American Legion Hammond Post #3, Gate City Post #265. The family would like to say a special thank you to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Teresa and Brittany at Indian Path ICU, and to friends and neighbors for all their love and care.
