David Henry, 72, of Kingsport, TN, departed this life and entered eternal rest with his Heavenly Father on October 7th, 2021, after battling a lengthy illness.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a Vietnam War veteran and proud to serve his country.
David is preceded in death by his, parents Eugene and Kate Henry; his brother, Steve Henry.
Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Connie Henry; three sons, Keith (Wanda) Henry, Timothy Henry, and Aadyn Henry; one daughter, April Henry; one goddaughter, Selena Keller; special sister in law, Donna (Johnny) Collins; sister, Debbie Ritz; sister in law, Elaine Gilpen (Gary) of Indiana; brother in law, Mike (Lou) Blackburn of Ohio; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Trinity Memorial on Tuesday, October 12th, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm. Services will follow, with brother Ronnie Derrick officiating.
Graveside service will follow at Walnut Chapel (1898 East Carters Valley Road Gate City, Virginia 24257). Serving as pallbearers will be the grandsons and family.
