David Lee Cody

David Lee Cody, 54, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025.

Known to most by "Cody", he was born on January 8, 1971, to the late Roy David Cody and Bona Carolyn Brooks.

He was a hardworking man who took immense pride in his work as the owner and operator of his lawn care business. His customers appreciated him and the detailed work he did for them. Cody also found joy in riding his motorcycle, especially with his cousin, Kevin. Above all, he loved his family and friends and was always willing to help them or anyone in need.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 30 years, Monica; their fur-baby, Tucker; mother-in-law, Margaret Thacker; father-in-law, Maynard Howington; brother-in-law, Daryl Herron; a niece, Katelyn Fleenor; his aunt, Shelby Jean Hooven; several cousins; and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Trinity Memorial Centers, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in Cody's name to the organization of your choice.
