David Anthony Rodgers, 68, of Kingspot, TN, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023.
David served his country for 4 years, stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Center, where he took great pride in the service he provided for the United States. After becoming disabled, he left the Navy and attended ETSU in Johnson City, Tennessee. While there, he earned dual degrees in Psychology and Social work. David was an exceptional student and graduated with honors. David loved many things in life; music, playing the guitar and flute, and a deep pride in his native heritage.
He is preceded by his mother, Edith Kathleen Arnold Rodgers; his father, Thomas Franklin Rodgers; and his sister, Sylvia Patricia Page Carver.
David is survived by his sons, Moses David Rodgers and wife Christi, and John Vincent Rodgers and wife Tiffany; grandchildren, Cassie (Landon) Rodgers, Abby (Deven) Berry, Kaylee Rodgers, Auron Rodgers, Dante Rodgers, Lyla Rodgers, Killian Rodgers, Hero Rodgers; great-grandchildren, Xander Rodgers, Xoe Rodgers, Grayson Rodgers, Jaxon Berry, and Kannon Berry; and his very special nephew, Greg Page and Family.
David's family would like to especially thank the nurses and staff at Hermitage Health and Rehabilitation Center for their exceptional care, as well as everyone that cared for him while in the ICU at Holston Valley.
David Anthony Rodgers will be interred at Mountain Home National Cemetery, in Johnson City, Tennessee, on September 12, 2023 at 11 AM.
