Danny Reed

Danny Reed 45 past away peacefully to be with the lord on Wednesday, June 17th, 2020. Danny was an old soul. He loved John Wayne, cry-in-your beer country music and was an avid Vols fan. Camping, fishing, and floating down the river with his friends and family were his favorite activities and memories. He was a story-teller-loved to talk and would not stop even when others told him hed already said that story at least 20 times. His goal in life was to irritate people then make them laugh. He loved to sing LOUD, off key and make words up. He was quick to grin and giggle; eager to lend a hand when needed. Kinder than anyone will ever know. He was just pure joy and happiness who all who knew and loved him. He was a father full of love and pride for his children. They were his life, his source of happiness, and they were his reason for always striving to be a better man. They were his world. He taught us what it means to be truly loved, supported, encouraged, believed in, and lifted up. That is just how he loved. He had renewed his relationship with God and was a transformed man. Danny is preceded by his beloved mamaw, Laura Manis; sister, Michelle Manis; grandparents, Roy and Pat Reed and an uncle Larry Reed. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lona Reed; son, Jacob Reed; daughter, Michelle Reed; mother and father, Debbie Manis-Rowland and Mitch Manis; brother, Wayne and wife Jessica Reed; sister, Patty and husband Steve Robinson; also a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles that he loved so very much. A Celebration of Dannys life will be held Wednesday June 24th at Trinity Memorial Centers from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Graveside will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery at 3:00 pm. Everyone is asked to wear their favorite Tennessee Vols outfit and come ready to Celebrate a Life Well lived. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you give financially or with your time to a food bank or childrens charity. Trinity Memorial Centers are honored to serve the family of Danny Reed at this time.
