Daniel Thomas Campbell

Daniel Thomas Campbell was born on April 12, 1957 and passed away in Bristol, VA on Thursday, February 8, 2024 after a battle with cancer.
Daniel is survived by his siblings, John Campbell (Sandy) and Patricia Guns (Tom); his niece, Krysta Guns; and his aunt, Colleen Crigler. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Thomas Campbell and Betty Jean Crigler Campbell; and his wife, Mitzi Baron-Campbell.
Daniel started his career as a Draftsman at Wileys Manufacturing in Port Deposit, Md. After their closure, he moved on to General Dynamics in Groton, CT, where he worked on the design of submarines. He then transferred to their location in Atlanta, GA. From there, he moved to San Francisco, CA to work as a Software Engineer for Autodesk, Inc. After several years, Daniel moved home to be closer to family and began working as a Field Service Engineer for Thomas Publishing.
Daniel had a dynamic and incredibly charismatic personality. He was talented in many areas and had a creative and incredibly intelligent mind. He enjoyed research and continually learning new things. He studied aeronautics and held a pilot's license. In his youth, Daniel was a talented artist, who enjoyed painting landscapes. As a young man, he loved playing guitar and played in popular bands in the area; most notably Borderline and Quickstraw.
The family will be hosting a Memorial in Remembrance of Dan's Life at a later date.
