Daniel James Ratliff

Daniel James Ratliff, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Holston Valley Hospital. Born on September 28, 1950 in Pikeville, KY, he lived his life his way and in his later years, enjoyed playing in billiards leagues around the northeast Tennessee, tricities area. He always had a good sense of humor and he loved to tell jokes. He will be greatly missed. Preceding him death are his father, James Ratliff; mother, Graphy Holloway; stepfather, Walter Holloway; sisters, Rose Ann Smith, Hellen Louis Ratliff, Jackie Wayne Ratliff and Dianna Ruth Ratliff; and niece, Heather Dawn Smith. He leaves behind a sister, Saundra Gail Ratliff; four children, Danny Wayne Ratliff, DeLisa Faye Rainwater, Moses James Ratliff and Shawn Deon Ratliff; six grandbabies; one great grandbaby; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The life celebration service will follow. Our family would like to thank all of his friends who contributed to making all of this possible. We are forever grateful and it means so much to us and it would have to him as well. Thank you.
