Cynthia Sue Graham Pierce

September 5, 1952 — July 8, 2024

Cynthia "Cindee" Pierce, 71, of Johnson City, TN, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday evening, July 8th, 2024. She was born on September 5th, 1952, in Newport, Rhode Island, to parents William and Fauniel (Peterson) Graham. She attended McGregor Baptist Church in her youth and was baptized, accepting Jesus Christ as her Savior during a revival in 1968. Cindee graduated from Eckerd College in 1974 with a degree in psychology.

Cindee was very outgoing and could talk to anyone. She loved thrifting and collected interesting pieces to decorate her home. She took great pride in her rose garden, which she tended with dedication. A football fan, she supported both the Denver Broncos and the Tennessee Vols. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time at home and cherished visits from her grandchildren.

Cindee is survived by her daughter, Sara (Michael) Smith; grandchildren Lydia, Augustus, Eden, and Jericho Smith; brothers Wyatt (Melinda) Graham, Lynnwood (Sharon) Graham, and William Graham III; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fauniel Helen and William C. Graham Jr.; her husband, Douglas L. Pierce; and her son, Jason L. Pierce.

In memory of Cindee's love for education, memorial contributions may be made to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, supporting their mission to foster a love for reading in young minds.
