Cynthia A. Dillon passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, at her home in Jonesborough, TN.
Born and raised in Greensboro, NC, Cynthia graduated from Ben L. Smith High School, where she excelled as a varsity basketball player. She was often found on the neighborhood park basketball court, showcasing her passion for the game. After high school, she attended Elon College and later moved to California, where she became an avid fan of the LA Lakers and Kobe Bryant.
Cynthia's love extended beyond sports to animals, especially dogs and cats. In 2005, she was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church and devoted the past 19 years to spreading the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Cynthia shared the word of God with everyone she met and lived as a faithful servant, inspiring those around her with her unwavering faith.
Cynthia was a loving and caring older sister who cherished spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert S. Dillon, Jr., and her mother, Gloria Conte.
She is survived by her sister, Robin Dillon; her sister in Christ and best friend, Elena Camarena; her aunts, Brenda Williams and Helen Wilson; her cousins, Myra Sue Hulin and Patricia Lowe; and her niece, Stephanie Wood. Cynthia also leaves behind close family friends and their families: Rosa Mojica, Judy Camarena, Sandra Rojas, Lupe Medina, Ilda Lopez, Joyce Banks, and her cherished Bible study and church friends.
A memorial service will be held at Greeneville Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday, December 15th, at 1:00 PM.
