Chris Eugene Lewis Milam, 44, of Glade Springs VA, went to be with the Lord on March 18, 2019 at his home surrounded by family and friends. Chris was born in Norton, VA on May 18, 1974 and grew up in Dryden with his mother, Peggy Milam, and siblings. Chris was a graduate of Lee High School class of 1992.
Chris, or “Milo”, as he was known to his family and friends, was a devoted brother, father and friend, as well as an avid outdoors man. Over the years, he had collected a large library of wildlife footage, having hopes to one day make his own hunting show. He loved fishing and hunting in particular, but was also an accomplished gardener, as well. He never knew a stranger, was always quick with a joke and appreciated a good laugh with his trademark smile. Chris will be extremely missed by everyone who got a chance to meet him.
Chris is preceded in death by niece, Peggy “Gail” Turner.
Chris is survived by his mother, Peggy Milam; brother, Greg Milam and wife, Carla; sisters, Brenda Cook and husband, Heath, Cathy Cope and husband, Don, Tammy Holt and Lisa Meade; special family member, Charlie Whited; children, Matt Dickenson and wife, Carissa, Stephen Milam, Cassie Rogers, Abbiegail and Latisha Milam; step children, Issac Bryant and Madison King; grandchildren, Collin and Conner Dickenson; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews that he truly loved.
A visitation for friends and family will be held at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 6:00 PM. The service will begin at 8:00 PM.
