Charles Lynn Clayman, 66, of Bristol, VA, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
Lynn was born to Charles "Bud" and Edith Clayman in Bristol, Virginia, where he spent his entire life. Lynn was a graduate of John Battle High School and went on to become a heavy equipment operator in road construction. He worked for Summers-Taylor and assisted in the completing of I-26. Lynn was an accomplished musician who could play piano, guitar, and bass. His music would carry through the air to his guests and accompany them as they climbed the hill to his house. Lynn was a kind soul who would help anybody and offer them the shirt off his back.
In addition to his parents, Lynn is preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Paul Clayman.
He is survived by his three sisters, Edna Leonard, Peggy Price, Lisa (Tim) McCracken; brother, Kyle Clayman; multiple nieces and nephews.
The Clayman family would like to express their appreciation for the care and compassion given to Lynn in intensive care and in comfort care during his stay at Bristol Regional Medical Center. They also are grateful to the family members who assisted in providing love and care during this time.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Three Springs Baptist Church, 7009 Reedy Creek Road, Bristol, VA 24202 with Pastor Mike Coonley officiating.
