Charles S. Dougherty, 62, of Blountville, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 2, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Charles Clifton and Eula C. Dougherty.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Linda; his sister Sherry and husband Lawrence Emmert of Bristol TN; brother, Gray and wife Sherry Dougherty of Kingsport TN; two aunts, Beverly Fields, and Kate Warren both of Gate City Va; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Charles was also employed for 25 years with the Robert Bosch Braking Company in Johnson City. He was a 1973 graduate of Central High School and a 1984 graduate of Northeast State Community College. There will be a Celebration of Life Service to be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with medical expenses.
