Charles Clarence Crawford

Charles Clarence "Whitey" Crawford, 68, of Beech Creek Community, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. He was self employed and he loved riding horses and he loved his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents, Minophee and Hassie Crawford; granddaughter, Lindsey Richards; grandson, Ethan Crawford; and brothers, Guy, Everette, Robert, Roy and Gale Crawford. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Loretta Crawford; sons, Tim Crawford and wife, Teresa, of Fall Branch, TN, T.J. Crawford and wife, Nikki, of Hawkins County, TN, Jamie Crawford and wife, Mary, of Hawkins County, TN, and Tony Matthews, of Greene County, TN; grandchildren, Eric Crawford, Adam Crawford and Sissy Crawford; sisters, Velma Pennington, of Hawkins County, TN and Eula Valentine, of Newport, TN; brother, Roger Crawford and wife, Betty, of Kingsport, TN; and niece, Stacey Jones. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Van Hill Baptist Church from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will follow at 8:00 Pm with Pastor Edward Maynard officiating. Special music will be provided by Betty Morelock. Graveside will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery.
