Carolyn Sue Bledsoe

Carolyn Sue Bledsoe, 78, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

Carolyn was born to Henry and Rutha Bowman in Kingsport, Tennessee. She spent her life here, where she raised her daughter, Lori. Carolyn worked for over forty years at J.P. Stevens/Chiquola Fabrics in Kingsport. She was also a member of Lynn Garden Evangelical Methodist Church. Carolyn was known for being open and honest, and she was a very strong woman. Other people loved talking with her. Carolyn loved watching cooking shows and collecting recipe books, and she loved to go shopping.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley and Betty; brother, Don.

Those left to cherish Carolyn's memory are her daughter, Lori Godsey; granddaughters, Emily Godsey and Char Price; sister, Peggy Bishop; brother, David Bowman; multiple nieces and nephews.

A graveside interment service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 16, 2023, at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4997 Memorial Boulevard, Kingsport, Tennessee. Pastor Will Shewey of Shades of Grace United Methodist Church will be officiating.
