Carolyn Ryans Goddard

Carolyn Ryans Goddard, age 70, passed away on September 19th, 2024.

She was born to the late Lawrence Johnson and Marie McCray, on March 24th, 1954.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Ryans; her sister, Connie Johnson; her second husband, Dexter Goddard; and a brother, David Johnson.

She worked for Community Development in Kingsport, and volunteered at CASA for many years. Although Carolyn never had children, she loved and cared for her nieces and nephews as if they were her own; spoiling them by taking them shopping, and traveling with them on vacations.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Steven (Cathy) Johnson, and their son, Andy; her sister, Linda Wright, and her daughter and son, Jessica and Michael; Connie's daughters, Amanda and Kayla; as well as, several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service to celebrate Carolyn's life will be held at a later date.
