Brittany Elisabeth Smith
July 17, 1989 - March 18, 2025
Like a melody that lingers in the heart long after the music fades, Brittany Elisabeth Smith, 35, of Rogersville, TN, has gone to be with her Lord, leaving behind the echoes of a life full of laughter, love, and passion.
Born in California and raised since the age of 2 in East Tennessee, Brittany was a 2007 graduate of Cherokee High School. She was vivacious, endlessly funny, and a light in the lives of those who knew her. She loved music-especially the timeless harmonies of doo-wop-and found joy in writing poetry, a gift she proudly shared with the world when one of her pieces was published. Her words were a reflection of her soul-passionate, deep, and beautifully honest.
To her friends, she was a loyal heart, always ready to embrace life with an open spirit. But above all, Brittany's greatest love was for her children, Avangaline (Ava) and Alexander (Xander), whom she cherished beyond measure.
She is preceded in passing by her maternal grandmother, Annabelle Rapier, and her paternal grandparents, Jane and Eugene Smith. She is survived by her loving parents, Dale and Jonna Smith; her brother, Andrew; her sister, Danielle; and the countless lives she touched with her radiant spirit.
Though her time here was brief, Brittany's love remains-woven into memories, carried in the laughter of her children, and whispered in the verses of the poetry she so dearly loved.
A private family memorial will be held at a later time.
"And though the ink may dry, the words will never fade-
For love is written in the soul, and there it shall remain."
