Brandon John Randall McCoy, age 36, of Gate City, Virginia, passed away and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center unexpectedly. Born in Pike County, Kentucky, Brandon had been a resident of this area for the last 30 years. He worked in security and at Seavers. He enjoyed being with his family and spending time with his three nieces and his step-daughter, LeAnn Crawford. He was a member of The House of Refuge in Gate City.
He is preceded in death by his wife, April McCoy in 2014; his grandparents;
aunt, Patsy Farley; and uncle, Harvey Meadows.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah McCoy; stepdaughter, LeAnn Crawford, of Gate City, VA; mother and stepfather, Ann and James Roark of Gate City, VA; father and stepmother, Ellis and Mazie McCoy of Pike County, Kentucky; brother, Ellis Jesse McCoy and wife, Shannon of Gate City, VA; stepsister, Selena Hurley of Taylorsville, NC; stepbrothers, Ricky Edwards and Erick, both of Mountain City, TN; nieces, Merical McCoy, Mercy McCoy, and Kinsley McCoy; grandmother, Blanch Roark and nephew, Cooper Arnold and many friends and loved ones.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Smith officiating. Special singing will be by Shannon Arnold.
