Bobby York

March 10, 1982 - August 18, 2020

Bobby Eugene York, 38, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville with his wife by his side.

Bobby had many talents. The one that stood out the most was his art. Bobby always added great detail to each drawing or painting. He had a very specific art style. He had a tremendous way with words and was always able to help others in their time of need. Bobby was extremely charming and polite and had a beautiful smile. He was very witty and had a wild humor that always brought a smile and joy to anyone in his presence. He was the best father that any child could have asked for, his children were very blessed. He was secure enough with his manhood to allow his daughter Aubri to paint his nails pink or purple. He was very supportive and accepting of his children and they always knew they could count on him. His wife will never forget the dances in the kitchen or the witty notes on the message board. His presence will always be cherished and his family will miss him so much.

He is preceded by his mother Wanda Faxon York, close cousin Steven Compton

Left to cherish Bobby’s memory is his wife Stephanie York, his five children Nevaeh, Ciara (Clyde) , Aubri, Canaan, Stephen, sister Christy York Fortner and her husband Todd, brother Teddy York and wife Crystal, grandmother Fancy Faxon, His in-laws Steve and Linda Lowrance, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, one very close nephew Cody York, and many friends especially a close childhood friend Ricky Carver, long time friend Chris “Hoopty” Stapleton and Sean Venning, who assisted Bobby and the family tremendously through out Bobby’s illness.

The family and a few close friends plan to have a private Celebration of Life party at a later date, as Bobby did not wish to have a funeral. Bobby does not want us to mourn him but to remember him as he was and cherish those times we had with him.

Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the family.
