Bobby Thomas Depriest

Bobby Thomas DePriest, 46, of Rogersville, TN, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Bobby was born in Kingsport, Tennessee, to Earl Franklin DePriest and Shirley Jean Eades. He was a graduate of Sullivan North High School, where he played baseball. He was an avid weight lifter, loved fishing, and was very handy with vehicles helping others with mechanical work when he could. He was a hardworking millwright who traveled a good deal for work. Bob was a handy man. Those who knew him, know that he could build a house from the ground up and even assemble an entire car piece by piece.


He was preceded by his first wife, Donna DePriest; his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Bob Eades and Madeline Eades; his paternal grandfather and mother, Milton Thomas DePriest and Thelma DePriest.

Bobby is survived by; his parents, Earl DePriest and Shirley (Kingsport, TN); his three children Brogan Jennings, Kadey (Garrett Jones) DePriest, and Lilly DePriest; his second wife, Kendra Jo DePriest; his siblings Earl DePriest, Jr. and Chris DePriest, Jeff DePriest, Ricky DePriest, and Sherry DePriest; his dog, Beau; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation times for Bobby's family will be on October, 7th, 2023 at Trinity Memorial Centers in Kingsport Tennessee, from 3:00 PM until 4:30 PM, with a service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers the family encourages attendees to make a donation to Recovery Soldiers Ministries in Elizabethton TN.
