Bobby Dwayne Adams Jr.

Bobby Dwayne Adams Jr., a loving father, devoted family man, and true pillar of strength, passed away on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024 at the age of 68 after a short battle with lung cancer. His passing leaves a gaping hole in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Bobby's memory include his loving wife, Carol Ann Moye and his only daughter, Jacqueline Laura Adams, both of Tennessee; his siblings, Tina Gorden of Holt, Michigan, Louann (Troy) Click of Portland, Michigan, Todd Adams of Florida, Terri Adams of Texas, and Mike (Pam) Adams of Florida; very dear friend, Gary Jacques of Texas; and his beloved Rottie, whom he called Roxy Bear.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Dwayne Adams, Sr., who passed on September 11th, 2020; and his mother, Jacqueline Laura Adams, who passed October 30th, 1998.

Bobby was very proud to be a Veteran of the United States Navy. He went into the Navy shortly after graduating from Harry Hill High School. He served our country and traveled the world, such as Japan and Switzerland, aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy. He was stationed at the U.S. Naval Base in San Diego, California and earned numerous Letters of Commendation.

His love for adventure and dedication to his passions touched the hearts of all who knew him. An avid bowler, Bobby found joy in the simple pleasure of the game. He had a deep love for motorcycles, proudly riding and rebuilding his three Harley-Davidsons. His dedication to the martial arts earned him both first and second-degree black belts in Kung Fu, a testament to his discipline and perseverance.

Bobby shared his love for the ocean with his wife, spending many happy moments together scuba diving. His loyal companion, Roxy Bear, was always by his side, reflecting the love and loyalty he extended to those he cared about.

Above all, Bobby was a hardworking man who tirelessly provided for his family. His strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Bobby will be laid to rest at the Mountain Home National Cemetery in Mountain Home, Tennessee.
