Billy Wayne Younger

Billy Wayne Younger, 80, of Fall Branch, TN, passed away on Monday, February 25th, 2019. Billy was born in Birthright, TX in 1938. He graduated from Tempe High School in Tempe, AZ where he met his lifelong sweetheart. He joined the Navy after school where he proudly served and later served in the United States Naval Construction Battalion(Seabees). It was while he was on leave during this service that he married Mary and they started a 62 year love affair. Billy loved raising animals and working on heavy equipment (a skill he learned while in the service). After the service he worked for the highway department, John Deere, and the lumber yard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Bobby Younger; brother, Charles Younger. He is survived by his wife, Mary Younger; son, David Younger and wife Teresa; daughter, Laura Stratman and John; grandchildren, Angelina Becky Younger, and six other grandchildren; brothers, Cecil Younger and wife Jeanie, Joe Younger and wife Elley; special friends, Martha Jane Rector, Betty Thomas, and Madeline Depew. Visitation will be held on Thursday February 28th at Trinity Memorial from 6pm to 8pm. Memorial service will follow with Pastor Alan Brummett of Loveless Baptist Church officiating. Graveside service will be held on Friday March 1st at Mountain Home VA Cemetery at 10am with military rites provided by American Legion Hammonds Post 3 / Gate City 265.
