Billy Ray Way, 67, Blountville, TN passed from his earthly walk of life to begin his long awaited and well deserved walk with Jesus on July 8th, 2014. He was dedicated to working hard throughout his life and gave so much in ways unspoken. He enjoyed being outdoors doing whatever he could piddle his way into and singing gospel music. He would ask that we not shed tears of sadness but be happy in knowing that he is having a little walk with Jesus. He was preceded by one son, Billy Craig Way; his parents DeWolfe Way and Mary Frances Helton Way; and several brothers. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Linda Gail Way, of their home; two daughters, Sherry Way Johnson, Kingsport and Mrs. Joe (Jeanne) Hubbard Kingsport/Rockingham, NC; one son, John David Way, Blountville; two granddaughters, Ashley Hite and Jessilyn Hubbard; five grandsons, Tyler Hite, Joseph Way, Levi Johnson, Braxton Way, Dylan Way; two great-grandchildren, Titus Hite and Taylin Steadman; one special person he claimed as his own, Janet Light; one brother, four sisters; as well as many dear and wonderful people he called his friends. The family will recieve friends on Friday July 11, 2014 at Trinity Memorial Centers from 5 until 8 for the visitation. The funeral service will be conducted following the visitation in the funeral homes chapel with Pastor Harold Morelock, Pastor Mike Childers, and he will be eulogized by his grandson Joseph Way.
