Billy John Delancey

Billy John DeLancey, 46, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 21, 2020. Billy was a graduate in the class of 1992 of Sullivan North High School. He loved to play basketball and was always making jokes. Billy loved to fish and hike. He loved music and was the biggest fan of Def Leppard. The only thing he loved more than music was a corvette. He served in the Army and was very proud of that. He is preceded in death by his father, John Raymond DeLancey; his sister, Lois Guy; his step-mother, Alice; and his niece, Lisa Guy. He is survived by his wife, Lucy DeLancey; His sons, Billy, John, and Christopher DeLancey (Stephanie); his daughter, Suzanne DeLancey; his grandchildren, Molli Brooke and Cooper Bennett DeLancey; (He lived for his grandchildren and was so proud of them) his brothers, Chuck, Larry, and John DeLancey; his sisters, Sharon Godsey and Elizabeth Hunt; and a host of nieces and nephews who in which he loved deeply. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday May 27th from 3pm to 4pm at Trinity Memorial. Funeral service will follow at 4pm with Military Honors provided by American Legion Hammonds Post 3 / Gate City 265 and Pastor David Perkins officiating.
