Betty Lou Dockery

Betty Lou Dockery, 78, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

Born in Russell County, Virginia, Betty met and married Troy Baldwin. The couple was happily married for over thirty years. After Troy passed, Betty married Howard Dockery. Betty loved going to church and singing in her church. Most recently she attended Church of God in Weber City, VA. She loved her family. She was always willing to help others, and enjoyed blessing them with her gifts and talents.

In addition to her husband, Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Banner Skeen and Nellie Skeen; sisters; Peggy Sue Skeen, Edith Marie Salyer, Glenna Coomer; brother, Willis Gene Skeen.

Survivors include her husband Howard Dockery; sisters, Loretta Salyer; several nieces and nephews who she loved as her own.

The family of Betty Dockery will receive friends on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow. The Reverends Wayne Gilliam and Ray Bledsoe will officiate. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
