Benjamin Anthony Barrington Amyx

February 4, 1983 — July 2, 2022

Benjamin Anthony Barrington Amyx, passed away on July 2nd, 2022 at the age of 39. Benjamin was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on February 4th, 1983. He attended Sullivan North High School and went on to have various careers, finishing with construction. Benjamin was generous, loving, and kind. He was able to light up any room he walked into. He was known for his silly actions, which always put a smile on everyone's face. He was able to live his life enjoying the simplest of pleasures; catching up with his friends and family, or simply offering to cook for them. Benjamin was notorious for his cooking capabilities; he genuinely enjoyed making people happy in the presence of food. He had many hobbies throughout the years, which include fishing, frisbee golf, bowling, skateboarding, playing cornhole, and most recall his antique action figure collection. He was dedicated to any type of job he had. He knew what effort should be put in, and would always tell those around him to put in the time and effort to get what they wanted. He loved to help the most unfortunate in life, and he always went out of his way to give people another chance. Benjamin always made sure to include everyone and was one of the most forgiving people you'd ever meet. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with as well as those he reached but never met. He is preceded by his father, Ray Amyx Jr.; maternal and paternal grandparents. Left to cherish memories are his wife, Amanda Amyx; sons, Darren and Connor Amyx; mother Dianna (Todd) Jayne; brothers, Michael Amyx, and Christian Amyx; sisters, Brandy (Oscar) Boozer, Mercedes Amyx, Tiffany Hensley, and Erica Jayne; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Trinity Memorial on Tuesday, July 12th, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A memorial service will follow. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the family.
