Born in Syracuse, New York, Becky was raised on a farm in Shelbyville, Indiana, and later called Florida home for the majority of her life. In her later years, she settled in Kingsport, Tennessee. Always wearing a warm smile, she held a profound love for her family, treating her nieces and nephews as if she would have her own children. She dedicated many years of service to the St. Pete Times. Adventurous and resilient, Becky embraced new challenges throughout her life. In her sixties, she delved into the culinary arts, and in her seventies, she ventured into carpentry and tiny home construction. Her love for adventure led her to enjoy motorcycles and travel, always eager to try new things and savor exotic cuisines.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice Mae Patterson and William Wadell Patterson; her cherished aunt, Marylea Bellman; her brother, Michael Bruce; her sister, Barbara Page; and her husband of over two decades, Robert "Bob-Bob" Nielsen.
