Becky Denise Nielsen

June 12, 1945 — February 29, 2024

Becky Denise Nielsen, aged 78, from Kingsport, TN, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 29, 2024, surrounded by her nieces, who provided comfort until her departure.
Born in Syracuse, New York, Becky was raised on a farm in Shelbyville, Indiana, and later called Florida home for the majority of her life. In her later years, she settled in Kingsport, Tennessee. Always wearing a warm smile, she held a profound love for her family, treating her nieces and nephews as if she would have her own children. Becky's faith in the Lord was unwavering, and she was an active member of Colonial Heights Christian Church.
Becky was a vibrant soul, leaving lasting impressions on everyone she encountered. Her artistic talents spanned multiple mediums, including photography, painting, drawing, and sketching. She dedicated many years of service to the St. Pete Times. Adventurous and resilient, Becky embraced new challenges throughout her life. In her sixties, she delved into the culinary arts, and in her seventies, she ventured into carpentry and tiny home construction. Her love for adventure led her to enjoy motorcycles and travel, always eager to try new things and savor exotic cuisines.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice Mae Patterson and William Wadell Patterson; her cherished aunt, Marylea Bellman; her brother, Michael Bruce; her sister, Barbara Page; and her husband of over two decades, Robert "Bob-Bob" Nielsen.
Left to treasure her memory are her stepchildren, Nancy Nielsen-Schultz, Eric Nielsen, Robert Nielsen, Jr., and Neita LePak; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; her brothers, William "Billy" Patterson (Shirley) and Robert "Bobby" Patterson (Carol); her cousins, especially Amy Bellman and Sue "Susie" Mancabelli; her brother-in-law and friend of over fifty years, Edward Page; her ten nieces and nephews; her fourteen great-nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Lady.
The family will be having a Celebration of Life Service Saturday, March 16th at 11:00 am at Colonial Heights Christian Church, 105 Meadow Lane, Kingsport, Tn 37663.
Becky was deeply cherished and cared for by her three devoted nieces, Sarah Page-Caron, Jessica Page-Smith, and Amy Page, throughout her final adventure.
Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to assist the family during this time.
