Beatrice S. Long

Mrs. Beatrice S. Long, age 88, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Beatrice was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Long; son, Chuck Long; parents, William and Hattie Smith; and five siblings. Surviving are her son, Roger Long and wife Tommie of Mills River, NC; daughter-in-law, Connie Long of Kingsport; four grandchildren, Miranda Long of Kingsport, Ashley Long of Kingsport, Justin Long of Palm Bay, FL; and Shayla Long of Mills River, NC; two great-grandchildren, Kelsey Wallen and Mila Lipford of Kingsport; sister-in-law, Nannie Maude Smith of Kingsport; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held from 1-3 on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Trinity Memorial. Family and friends will leave Trinity Memorial at 3pm on Saturday to a burial service in Nickelsville, VA at the Nickelsville Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Wellmont Hospice for their great care and support.
