Barbara Anne Kennedy, 60, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
Originally from Abingdon, Virginia, “Barb” was born to Harry and Eva Kennedy. Barb lived mostly in northeast Tennessee where she raised two children. Barb was a loving and caring mother who spent most of her life caring for her daughter, Autumn Canter. She spent sixteen years with her loving spouse, Bill Blankenship. Barb loved the outdoors where she enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing as a young woman. She was also an avid gardener who loved flowers.
In addition to her parents, Barb is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Autumn.
Those left to cherish her memory include Barb’s devoted spouse, Bill Blankenship; son, Joseph Michael (Kenya) Canter; grandchildren, Matthew (Lily) Canter, two other beloved grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; step-son, Andrew Blankenship; brother, John Coulter; sister, Betty Tenney and husband; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is being planned with dates and times to be announced.
