Austin Ryan Darker

Austin Ryan Darker, 5, of Kingsport, TN, lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Born to Kristofer Darker and Jamie Henning, Austin also had a ten year old sister, Brynn. Austin loved playing video games, water balloon fights, and being outside. He loved his dogs, Lola, Riley, Trixie, and Valkyrie and his cats, “Ruvy,” “Basil,” and “Fat Cat.” He also enjoyed his fish tank and especially feeding his fresh water eel blood worms. Austin also found a new passion while at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis – he loved playing hockey with his physical therapist.

Austin is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dawn Darker and Raymond Darker; great-grandmother, Irene Haydt.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents and sister; maternal grandparents, Linda and James Henning; multiple aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins; his St. Jude family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Austin’s sixth birthday with close family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the Darker family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
