Arthur Grant Knight 76, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 5, 2018, Life Care Center of Gray.
Mr. Knight was born August 24, 1941, in Kingsport, Tennessee to Rufus and Ruth Knight. He worked at UETHDA helping set up programs for families in need. He also worked in advertising. Mr. Knight also enjoyed writing poetry. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed reading his Bible and sharing the gospel with those he came in contact with.
Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Knight; his parents, Rufus and Ruth Knight; his sister, Vicky Knight; and his brother, Eddie Knight.
Mr. Knight is survived by his son, Jacob Knight (Kingsport); and his daughter, Sherri Knight (Kingsport).
The family will receive friends Friday, July 13, 2018 at Way of Life Baptist Church, 319 Salvation Rd, Bloomingdale. Services will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the Reverend Johnny Gibson officiating. Receiving of friends to follow service.
The family would like to thank the staff of Life Care Center for caring for Mr. Knight. The family would also like to thank the staff of Trinity Memorial Centers for the compassion they have shown and the help they have given during this time of grief.
