Anna Ruth Jessee

Anna Ruth Jessee, 81, of Bristol, TN, passed away at home on January 31, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones, after a courageous battle with Dementia.

She was born in Duffield, VA, on April 15, 1943, to the late Patrick H. and Lillie (Jones) Kern. In addition to her parents, Anna Ruth was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Winesett (decd: 1976), and by Delmoe Jessee (decd: 2022); her sister, Sonja Nixon; and her brothers; John Henry Kern and Jack Kern.

Anna Ruth was known for her love of God and her willingness to help anyone she could. She touched the lives of many and will be remembered for her kindness, her love for her family, and her love of singing God's praise.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Rhonda (Ray) Heim, Leisa J. (David) Guinn, Alberta (William) Dunn, Cathy Lane (Jerry) Cropper, and Lisa A. (Michael) Darnell; her siblings, Clairmae Legg, Ronnie (Donnese) Kern, Lonnie (Ada) Kern, Sharon (Roy) Nunn, and Trish (Chester) Stapleton; as well as many cherished extended family members, friends, and loved ones.

A Gathering of family and friends will take place from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Trinity Memorial Centers, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660. Those wishing to attend the Graveside Service can meet at 12:00pm on Saturday, February 8, 2025, in the Hills-Carter Family Cemetery, 943 Mabe Stanleytown Road, Duffield, VA 24244.

May Anna Ruth rest in profound peace as she awaits her rewards in Heaven.
