Ann Soltis

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. Ann Phyllis Soltis (nee Wnek) went to her eternal heavenly home on May 24, 2022 . Ann was born on July 27, 1940 in Chicago, IL to Edith (ne Paparone) and Edward Wnek. At 16, she met and fell in love with a young Jesse Soltis. They were married on August 18, 1962, They settled in Palatine, IL where they raised their 4 sons. Along side of Jesse, they built three successful orthodontic practices in Palatine, Barrington, and Lake Zurich. She loved watching Chicago White Sox baseball and spent many days and nights at Comiskey Park, rooting them on. Ann and Jess were also part time residents of Longboat Key, FL from 1976-2010, when they moved there full time. Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jesse; parents Edith and Ed Wnek; and sister Madeline Minelli. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Lynn) of Doylestown, OH, Jerry (Jennifer) of San Antonio, TX, Michael (Cindy) of Scottsdale, AZ, Stephen (Tiffany) of Kingsport, TN. Her grandchildren, Nicole (Nick) Molnar, Ryan, Brady, Amelia, Sydnee, Alexis, Austin, Anna, Peyton, and Jack. Brother John Wnek, sisters Dolores Lotysz, and Sandy Krason. The family would like to especially thank the entire staff at Brookdale Colonial Heights for the amazing care they provided to Ann while she was a resident there. They treated her as family and we were blessed by each of them. A celebration of life will be held at a later date Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Soltis family.
