Tammie Kay Amyx, 55, of Kingsport, TN, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Tammie was born in 1963, and was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, Tennessee. She was an avid reader, in particular a fan of Stephen King’s stories and loved spending time in her flower garden. Another of her favorite hobbies was visiting thrift shops and yard sales.
Tammie was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Babara Akard; brother, Mark Akard; significant other, David Artrip.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Yates and her significant other Brian Patnaude; grandchildren, Blake Wilkinson, Heather Spears and Jaxson Yates.
Visitation will be held on Saturday July 6th from 1:30pm to 2:00pm at Shades of Grace UMC. Service will follow at 2pm with pastor Will Shewey officiating.
