Allene Terry

Allene Denton Terry, age 86 (Lifelong resident) of Bristol, Virginia was promoted to Glory on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Allene retired from The Salvation Army, Bristol, Tennessee where she served for many years as a Kitchen Manager. She enjoyed serving and witnessing to the homeless and others. Allene truly enjoyed her church family at Soul's Harbor Bristol Virginia where she was a Charter member. Allene cherished her family exceedingly. Left to cherish her memories are her son Steve Terry, daughter-in law Naomi Terry, granddaughter Merissa Terry, grandson Steven Andrew Terry and Jessica Terry and her great grandchildren. Allene will be laid to rest at the Veterans National Cemetery along with her husband Henry Preston Terry who passed away the same day October 28, 2020 two(2hrs) apart. A family burial service for Allene will be held at the Veterans National Cemetery, Johnson City, Tennessee on Tuesday November 10, 2020 at 11am. The family wants to recognize the Staff of NHC of Bristol Virginia for the excellent care of Allene. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.
