Alexis Katelyn Gentry, 26 years old, was born in Kingsport, Tennessee, on March 25th, 1997. Alexis passed away on June 13th, 2023, after suffering catastrophic injuries sustained in an ATV accident on June 10th, 2023.
Alexis was a force to be reckoned with, and she embodied strength, courage, and determination. She was an undeniable and unstoppable force regardless of what she set her mind to do. Alexis had a fierce and independent spirit, and she was not afraid to speak her mind or chase her dreams. Alexis had an unwavering ambition and was not easily swayed from her intended path. Her fiery passion and drive inspired those around her, and Alexis always showed the world how to love really big.
Alexis was a very special mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and fiance.
Alexis is survived by her; grandmother, Phyllis Morelock; mother, Sebrina Light, and father (Charles Randall Light) Randy Light; fiance', Cody Roberts; sister, Brittany Moore; brothers, Bronson Light and Ethan Light; beautiful daughters, Kylie Jade Stidham and Ensley Grace Roberts; aunts Jessica Hulse, Ashley Ward, and Cassandra Morelock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alexis is preceded in death by her; great-grandmother Jewell Elliott; great grandfather Bascom Elliott; grandfather Charlie Randy Light.
Isaiah 55:12 "for you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands."
A private moment of family reflection will be followed by a special visitation held at Trinity Memorial Centers on June 23rd, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, where Alexis' life can be celebrated, and memories shared. Graveside will be conducted at Mount Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery at 3 pm on June 24th, 2023.
