Alan Michael Short Sr.

Alan M. "Mike" Short, Sr. passed away due to the untimely death of his son Scott on Oct. 2nd, 2019. Mike enjoyed fishing, model cars, but most of all he loved his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd M. and Mary Jane Short; brothers, Billy J. Frank and Marlin Short; and son, Christopher Scott Short. Survivors include his wife, Freda J. Short; sons, Alan M. Short Jr. of Church Hill, TN, Edward "Eddie" Short and wife, Kim, and Alfred M. "Mack" Short and wife, Kara, both of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Malachi Short, Shyann Hill, Christian Short, and Chelsea Short; brothers, Clyde Short and wife, Patsy, and Wayne Short and wife, Teresa, both of Kingsport, TN; sisters, Lou Hobbs and husband, Robert, and Jean Watson, both of Kingsport, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Fonda Mowdy, of Blountville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. The service will follow at 8:00 PM.
